Your Product

Clearly your product or service is excellent or you wouldn’t be in business. However there are probably a lot of other businesses with a product or service equally as good. So how do you gain the winning edge?

How do you stand out from the crowd?

1) You remember that the most important part of your business is your customers.

2) You think about how you can really add value to your customers’ lives. You give the most fantastic customer service and value for money they have ever experienced. It is no good having a service or product that is excellent when the customer does not know about it. The customer needs to feel so good about buying your product that they will recommend it to friends.

3) You completely reassure your customer that he/she is doing the right thing by purchasing your product and that the value they will receive will greatly outweigh the money they are spending.

4) You explain exactly what the main benefits of your product or service are. How will your product bring a real benefit to the customer’s life?

All successful businesses are driven by a desire to truly add value to somebody’s life not just to make a profit. They think about the the needs, hopes, fears and doubts that their customer will have – and so they cannot fail to make sales. It is essential to know how your product or service will help your customers – what are the benefits they will see as a result of buying your product.

How can you give them extra care and attention, provide helpful information to enhance their experience of your business. Can you offer amazing after sales service or an unconditional guarantee?

It is important that the value they gain from your product greatly outweighs the money they pay for it. In this way everybody benefits from the transaction. This is the only real and effective way to do business.

Effective marketing communications are about the customer – not about you and how wonderful you think your business is. Thousands of pounds are spent by large organisations researching the needs, aspirations and desires of buyers. Small businesses do not have this luxury but can very easily and effectively jump into the minds of their customers.  You can listen to them, anticipate their needs and give them such a wonderful service they will buy again and again and they will tell their friends.

Do you need help to
  • identify your unique selling proposition
  • work out a positioning statement
  • identify the benefits of your product or service
  • develop an attention grabbing headline

For £250 I can visit your business and manage a brainstorming session to clarify these areas. This will give you the basics you need to make all your future marketing communications highly effective.
